Summary : Electric vehicles (EV) are expected to yield great environmental, social and economic benefits in the near future. Despite the advantages, their integration raises challenges to the power system, including the uncertainties and the mobility of the EV loads, and the strong chronological coincidence between EV primary charging time at home and the power system peak demand. This coincidence causes substantial power system equipment overloading, hence requiring costly system upgrades. This seminar presents the design of a new time of use scheduling that takes into account the EV behaviour and charging behaviour to meet peak generation system limitations.
